What Steps?
-
Tier 2: 'AFF' (Accelerated Freefall) Certification
The AFF program is the first step to becoming a licensed skydiver. In this course, students learn essential skydiving skills, starting with tandem jumps and progressing to solo freefall under the supervision of instructors. This hands-on training develops confidence, safety awareness, and control in the air.
-
Tier 3: 'A' License
After completing AFF, skydivers pursue their ‘A’ License, a certification that allows them to jump solo without supervision. The ‘A’ License involves completing a series of practice jumps and demonstrating skills like stable freefall, controlled landings, and emergency procedures, marking the skydiver’s transition to an independent, fully licensed jumper.
-
Tier 5: Complete A 'Halo' Jump
HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) jumps are advanced jumps made from extreme altitudes, typically above 30,000 feet, with delayed parachute deployment. Originally used for military operations, HALO jumps challenge skydivers with unique equipment and intense conditions, offering an experience of pure freefall and a new perspective on the edge of the atmosphere.
